"Waterfight" is a soft pastel painting that depicts a simpler time before air conditioning and video games became summer mainstays. My siblings, myself, and the neighborhood children would grab a few buckets, a hose, a squirt gun or two and cool off with a good old-fashioned water fight.
The original pastel painting, "Waterfight", will be available at the Art With Heart Auction at the CenterStage NoDa Gallery; 2315 N. Davidson Street; Charlotte, North Carolina on Saturday, February 7, 2009. The work will be included in the Live Auction offerings that begins at 9:00 PM. Proceeds from this event will benefit United Family Services' domestic violence programs.
